Essie Orange, It's Obvious

Essie Orange, It's Obvious - £7.99

As the sunshine is apparently due to end over the weekend and be replaced with more typical British weather aka rain, I thought I would share with you my current favourite nail polish from Essie (shock horror yet another Essie polish). Orange, It's Obvious was part of the Navigate Her Collection from 2012, and is a bright tangerine orange. It has more red undertones than yellow and isn't as neon as it looks in photos. For a comparison I would say its slightly more red based than Barry M's Orange.

As the formulation of this is more thicker than normal Essie polishes you could actually get away with the one coat, however I've done two here and as you can see its fully opaque. This lasted a good 4 days without any topcoat before it started to chip, which I think is pretty good going. I have to admit I'm starting to come around to the orange way of thinking. You never know I might start wearing orange lipstick next... maybe.

  1. It is such a thick polish, isn't it?! I normally find with Essie polishes, 2 coats are a must - if not 3, but with this one I was like: Wow, the shit's intense. And such a lovely summery colour too.
