Lip Balm 101

I think when the colder weather comes the one thing which the majority of us will do is neglect our lips. The ironic thing is when I'm at work, I constantly have a lipbalm on my desk which I will reapply during the day religiously (I even was using one in my exam last week- it helped me concentrate). Come to being outside of work, I very rarely bother. However due to my rubbish diet as of late and the cold weather my lips are really starting to suffer.

 

However step up two brands which have helped get my lips into a much better condition Figg and Rouge and Urban Rituelle. I've always noticed Figg and Rouge in my local Boots but as you know I am fiercely loyal to my medicated Chapstick, however I must say I am impressed with these multi-functional balms. Both the vanilla and cherry - do have a slightly artificial scent however once applied this isn't an issue. In the pot they do look very hard, however upon contact they do melt pretty much straight away. I've been using the cherry one more as a lip balm and then the vanilla one I use on my cuticles/elbows.

 

The Urban Rituelle lipbalm was what I was really excited about trying as I've never really read about this brand before. Word of warning - the balm does smell fruity, however it does have a bit of a plastic vaseline esq scent to it - no passionfruit. I was a bit apprehensive about this, as I'm not the greatest fan of vaseline on my lips, however I am pleasently suprised by this. Its doesn't make my lips feel greasy/like there's a film of grease on it.
